Saltwater Flats Fishing Guide, Islamorada, Florida

Expect to fish from the boat and also, when the conditions are right, to wade fish.  When fishing from the boat we will use the trolling motor or the poling platform for working the flats.  We will also drift fish over sand pockets in the flats for trout and red fish. Wade fishing is usually done in less than 2 feet of water. The shallow waters and hard sand bottoms of the Islamorada Oceanside Flats make it easy to stalk and sight-cast to Bonefish.

Fishing is done with - lures - live bait - fly.  The lures consist of soft plastic jerk baits, shrimp imitations, baitfish imitations and top water lures. Live bait is done with live Shrimp, PinFish, Crabs and Mullet.

Some of my Tarpon Buddies, come down and meet them.
